Owing to the recent rains the local men were unable to oppose the visitors with any success, and the latter scored eleven points, to their opponents’ nil. The first goal was kicked bj Dumbell within twelve minutes from the commencement of the game. The play of the New Zealand team was very fast, and their style much admired. Subsequently they were entertained at a banquet by the local club.
