FOOTBALL.
NEW ZSALA- v. NEW SOUTH WAL3S. [bEDTER’s TELEGRAM—COPYRIGHT.] throve?, Saturday. The New Zealand football team played the fifth match of their tour to-day, when they met for the second time the representative fifteen of New South Wales on the local ground. The weather was all that could be desired, but the attendance was only moderate, not more than a thousand persons being present. The turf was hard and in good condition. The visitors had rather an easy victory over their opponents, who were completely overmatched, and only succeeded in ob aining one try, while the New Zealanders scored three goals and three tries. 'Vil the goals were kicked by Ryan, and the touch-downs were secured by Robertson,' Helmore, Taiaroa and Ryan. The passing and dribbling of the visitors generally were excellent, and some splendid tuns' were made by most of the team, but particularly by Ryan and VVar brick.
