Mr T. Bullock reports on the horse market . for the weefcending-Saturday, June 7 • —There was only a small entry of horses, viz., 29 for the day’s sale, and only a moderate attendance, biddings were aga : n languid, and there appeared to be little demand. Out of the 29 . entered only 11 were sold at the following prices, viz.:—Light medium draughts-, inferior, . L 8 15s to L 9 ios; superior draughts up to L 24 ios; aged and inferior, L 3 ios to L 5 ios; hacks, inferior, L 3 ios to LS. Previous to the horse sa’e I offered a consi nment of trees, shrubs, plants, etc., which sold at much lower prices than consignments of sime description, last season, buyers appearing only to pur base what they really required^=Landad , ii„ ~Mrj ■i,rTrVTlTmrfl since my last report ii Mr J. Skilling’s property at Wakanui, as follows, viz., R.S. 17944, containing 35 - . acres securely fenced, with buildings thereon, - at Ll 6 per acre, 24 acres odd being part of R.S. 18686, also fenced and improved at Ll 3 15s per acre. There are several inquiries for improved farms and small holdings near town, the price asked by those having such properties for sale, buyers think too high owing to v the low, prices ruling for farm produce and stock, and I am afraid sellers will have to make up their minds to accept lower prices before sales can be effected. Town Properties: I have sold T.S. 1002, corner of Cox and Walker streets for the sum of LSO.
