ABOUT EIGHTY-FIVE PRIZES. About 64 Prizes Waterloo Cop As there are no local or New Zealand races of a.iy note until the Melbourne and New Zealand Cups of 1884, between five and six months from date (19th May), we think it too long to hold our clients’ money by starting these big events, and therefore open the above programme on the Waterloo Cup Coursing Match, and from our present and past successes morally guaranteeing it will fill. (hir programme on Queen’s Birthday filled about 50 per cent, over the original issue. Each ticket has six chances, and is drawn on the principle that if a programme does not fill, prizes are paid pro rata. We reserve to ourselves the right of continuing the sale of shares over advertised number, if necessity demands it, and thereby adding to the value of all prizes by a prorata addition. In this instance we shi* 11 sell until Monday, 14th July, whatever the number applied for may be, experience teaching us that “ Supplementariea ” and No 2’s are not appreciated. Unparallelled success of these grand drawings, as they are carried out on the same principle in Hamburg aud other Continental Cities. The first drawing for £2,000 and the second drawing for L 3.000 filled before the advertised time for drawing. The Company were induced to make this third grand drawing for L3,000.in consequence of the great success, and also the confidence gained from the public since opening these Hamburg drawings. This third grand drawing will take place not later than the end of June, and the fourth drawing will open on the Ist July. Late applications are registered for the third drawing. Over 550 applications for programmes are now registered for the third drawing. This third grand drawing will consist of 240 money prizes, amounting to L 3,000 subscribed by 6,000 members at 10s each. The various Money Prizes will be distributed as follows :

1 £3OO prize; 1 £l5O prize; 1 £IOO prize; 2 £SO prizes; 5 £3O prizes; 10 £25 prizes; 10 £2O prizes; 10 £ls prizes ; 120 £lO prizes ;80 £5 prizes. Total amount, £3,000; 240 money prizes. The grand principle of these Hamburg Drawings is that a purchaser of 25 programes is guaranteed a prize, as it is so drawn that a prize must come out to every 25 numbers, aid the chances are in favor of the investor drawing a largo prize, as there are 160 large prizes against 80 small ones. To any investor of £2 the chances are only 6 to 1 against him drawing a prize, and the head prize or any other may be dra'.vn by any investor of 10s. The Company would not presume to tell the public that they have a number of chances and can win a number of prizes for a single investment of 10s. The large bulk of the money in this Grand i'rawing is not given away in one big prize, as it is in the horse consultations, but you will observe in this Hamburg Drawing that the £3,000 is fairly proportioned into 240 prizes, giving every shareholder an equal chance of getting a good prize. This Hamburg Drawing is one of the most novel, and will be conducted on the fairest principle possible, 8 j as to give entire public satisfaction. This third grand drawing for £3,000 will take place under the supervision of a committee of eight gentlemen, and the prizes will be paid over as early as possible after the drawing. i'ioTiCR —Country cheques marked correct by Bank, only payable to a number, and Is added for exchange.
