The quality of these goods is vouched for in the following extracts, and they can be supplied much cheaper than the imported article Encourage local industries! ! ! “ The Maclean pickles obtained the highest award at the International Exhibition 1882, against several of- the principal English manufactures ; the highest award at the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s grand show, 1883; and also a letter highly commendatory from the President of the New Zealand Industrial Exhibition, 1883 and 1834 (no awards having been given).” —“ Professor i A.
