The Champion Binder is a machine made for Hard Service, and upon this preI eminent fact the raputation of all Champion Machines is founded * The Cutting Ap* paratus is acknowledge to be immeasurably superior to that on any other Harvester. The finger bar is of angle steel and the fingers of wrought iron. The Platform Belt runs within half an inch of the knife, enabling the Champion to cut and convey the shortest crop in good manner. The Butter Belt employed on some machines is a rickety, rapidly running arrangement, and is superseded in the Chtmpion by an iron Butts Packer, durable and effective. The Main Wheel is ve;y high, has a broad tiro, and the bearing in the centre is 16in long, is vastly superior to the main wheel of any other binder, and will run a dozen years, and not cant over or get loose and shaky. The Elevating Belts on other harvesters are nearly perpenciai'ar, on the Champion, however, the angle is very slight, requiring much less power to elevate the grain, and it is not necessary to run the belts so close together, the heads of the grain are not broken off or shelled out. These features are only found in the Cham* pion, and every farmer will realise their importance. The binding Mechanism is a combination of the best know systems, and is thoroughly perfected. The makers of the Champion control the Appleby pa ents, and all harvesters using this system pay them a royalty. The Champion contains other improvements too numerous to'particularise, and must be seen to be appreciated.
