London, May 20 In the House of Commons last night, the Premier made a statement regarding the projected conference of European Powers upon the Egyptian question, The Government, Mr Gladstone Said, adhere to the basis upon which the conference was to be heldorigin- '' ally, and announced that parleying was still proceeding on the subject with Fipnce, and as soon as an agreement had been come to with that Power concerning the questions under discussion, other European Powers would be consulted.
