Mr Branson watched the proceedings on behalf of Fahey’s brother, and Mr Parnell on behalf of Mann. ; Mr Gordon Holmes was ohpsen foreman of the jury. After the jury had been sworn the coroner directed Mhnn 'to be oalled,''i^rd'' l l3iere being no appearance ha issued a warrant to compel his attendance. - - . J. Lampard, one of the sufferers, was the first witness. . He said the party proceeded to Mann’s farm on Wednesday evening, and before starting pn a shooting excursion Mann supplied them with abottla of whiskey to take, requesting them to giro his son (one of the party) none, balding too young, about eleven. They had the driak as already reported. ... A message was sent to Maun, and he appsaredrery much agitated, but did hot some to the sufferers. Witness was the least affected by the poison. Mann has no Mhm of smell The previous evening ha offered ’hla ' visitors kerosene in place of whiskey.
