ASHBURTON COURSING CLUB. Second Meeting. This meeting was concluded yesterday, having extended over three days. The ■port was not so good as it has been at previous meetings, owing to a scarcity of game and the very unfavorable weather which prevailed on Thursday, the second day. Soma of the slips were much longer* than they should have been, but under the circumstances the slipper was natur-, ally anxious to make use of every hare available. One course in the Post Stakes was run on Thursday, and the stake was concluded yesterday with the following result : Post Stakes, LI Is each; winner, L 7 11b ; runner-up, L 4. First round. Mr W. Zander’s Bundoora beat Mr R. Bingham’s Actress. Mr W. Howe’s Merry Maid beat Mr R. Duncan’s Review Mr R. Duncan’s Flying Colors beat Mr W. Howe’s Faugh-a-Ballagh. Mr J. Hogg’s Jenny Lind beat Mr W. Zander’s Tarquin. Mr B. Bingham's Forget-mo-Not beat Mr R. Bingham’s Queen of Spain Mr Digby’s Clara ran a bye. Second round. Merry Maid beat Bundoora Flying Colors beat Jenny Lind Forget-Me-Not beat Clara Third round. Flying Colors beat Merry Maid Forge'.-Me-Not ran a bye. Final. Mr R. Bingham’s Forget-Me-Not beat Mr Duncan’s Flying Colors, and won.
