FIRST DAY. 1. Handicap Hurdle Race, of 50 aova ; over eight flights of hurdles, about oft Gin high ; nomination, 1 sov ; acceptance, 2 sova. 2 miles. 2. District Welter Handicap, of 30 sovs ; nomination, 1 sov ; acceptance, 1 sov ; minimum weight Bit, if the highest weight accepting be less than list 71b to be raised to that weight, and the others in proportion. District horses on'y. miles. 3. Ashburton Autumv Handicap, of 100 sovs ; nomination, 2 sovs ; acceptance, 2 sovs ; miles. 4. Novel Race (Handicap), of 40 sovs ; nomination, 1 sov ; acceptance, 1 sov : the winner to be sold by auction immediately after the race, and the whole of the proceeds to go to the funds of the Club ; 1 mile. 5. Flyino Handicap, of 50 sovs ; nomination, 1 sov; acceptance, 1 sov. f mile. 6. Post Stakes (Handicap), of 15 sovs ; nomination, 1 sov ; to be made to the Secretary immediately after the Novel race is run ; acceptance free, to be notified within 15 minutes of declaration of weights. The winner to be sold immediately after the race for 15 sova, any surplus to go to the funds of the Club; district horses only. mile. SECOND DAY. 1. County Hurdle Race (Handicap) of 40 sovs; over six flights of hurdles about 3ft Gin high; nomination, 1 sov ; acceptance, 1 sov ; district horses only. miles. 2. Grand Stand Handicap, of 50 sovs ; nomination, 1 sov ; acceptance, 1 sov, 1J miles. 3. Ashburton Steeplechase, (Handicap) of 70 sovs, over such country and jumps as the stewards may appoint; nomination, 1 sov; acceptance, 2 sovs; About 3 miles. 4. Harvest Handicap, of 50 sovs; no mination, 1 sov; acceptance, 2 sovs; district horses only. 1 j miles. 5. Consolation Handicap, of 20 sovs; nomination, 1 sov ; to be made immediately after the Harvest Handicap is run; acceptance, free; to be notified to the Secretary within ten minutes of declaration of weights, 1 mile. RULE 3 AND REGULATIONS. 1. No entry will be received except on the condition that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint; their decision on all points connected with carrying out this programme to be final. 2. Canterbury Jockey Club Racing Rules strictly adhered to. 3. A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident in the from January Ist, 1884, and up to the date of the forthcoming meeting and owned by a person who has resided in the said County during the same period. 4. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross of all monies payable in accordance with this programme for expenses of the course, 5. All nominations and acceptances go to the funds of the Club.
