Consolation Handicap, of 20 sovs; nomination, 1 sov ; to be made immediately after the Harvest Handicap is run; acceptance, free; to be notified to the Secrotary within ten minutes of declaration of weights. I’mile. RULES AND REGULATIONS, 1. No entry will be received except on the condition that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint; their decision on all points connected with carrying out this programme to be final. 2. Canterbury Jockey Club Racing Rules strictly adhered to. 3. A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident in the AshburtonjCoumy from January Ist, 1884, and up to the date of the forthcoming meeting and owned by a person who has resided in the said County during the same period, 4 Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross of all monies payable in accordance with this programme for expenses of the course. 5. All nominations and acceptances go to the funds of the Club.
