A MISSING YACHT.

[by telegraph. ] Wellington, To-day. The yacht Iris, which was competing in the regatta yesterday, is missing. During the 3rd class race the master of the leading yacht, the Greyhound, noticed that the Iris had disappeared off Point Halsvell, but concluded that owing to.the heavy gale blowing she had run into Raw bay. Although the weather had moderated this morning the missing boat hag not turned up. She was manned by four youths named J. and C. McKeegan, Hare and Bristow. Lateb. . The crew of the Iris have arrived safely* It appears that the peak and thwart halyards were carried away and the vessel took shelter under Soames’ island. She lost both her anchors, and the orew beached her and came home in a dingy.
