Bth as folIpin.;— At the Tinwald sale on Tuesday there skis a large ,snpply of sheep and cattle under bffet. “Tlieopening of the sale, which slanted with fat sheep, was a.very dragging one, most of the pens bong .passed. in. We noticed a terribte qteiting. .amongst the sheep, and no wonder, w«eh they were knocked down at pyirwf qansidcrably below,rates of late sales. We quote mutton at da to d per lb; beef at 18s to 22s per loolbs. Irrsheep we sold 40 fat crossbred hogg. ts at 13s, 52 at 14a 4d, 30 at 14s 6d, 487 merino ewes in wool, at 6s 3d, 732 do at 6s 3d, 131 ytilla at .2s lid, and 105 merino ewes and B&Wat 6s Sd. A fair amount of business was done. The new yards are being proceeded with, and when completed a larger amount of basiacss in live stock is expected. At present these jam! accommodation, hence the disinelination of farmers to forward stock for disposal to the Rakaia.
