[per press association:] The Triumph. AccKtANB, To-day. The engineers and purser of the Triumph went by the Rotomahana yesterday to join the s.s. Victory at Lyttelton, which belongs to the same owners. The lightening of the Triumph is proceeding, and coal is being taken out to day. Capf. Brotherton, considering the chief ofjjcer not to blame for the recent catastrophe, has paid Mr Owen’s share of the Qnp imposed by the judicial court.
King Country Survey, Mr Spencer and four surveyors have started on a survey of the King country, and reached the settlement of Hanaru (who was principal objector to, the survey) where they were hospitably treated.: They proceed thence to Tekiriti, where ! some opposition is anticipated. , : Shooting. A shooting match, 8 men aside, is beidg arranged between the Fiji and Auckland " Volunteers.
A Body Recovered. Dunedin, To-day. A body supposed to be that of O. W. Goodgers was found in the Clutha near , Roxburgh yesterday.
