District horses on’y. miles. 3. Ashburton Autumn Handicap, of 100 sovs ; nomination, 2 sovs ; acceptance, 2 sovs ; 1£ miles. 4. Novel Race (Handicap), of 40 sovs 5 nomination, 1 sov ; acceptance, _ 1 sov : the winner to be sold by auction immediately after the race, and the whole of the proceeds to go to the funds of the Club; 1 mile. 5. Flying Handicap, of 50 sovs ; nomination, 1 sov; acceptance, 1 sov. f mile. 6 Post Stakes (Handicap), of 15 sovs ; nomination, 1 sov ; to be made to the Secretary immediately after the Novel race is run ; acceptance free, to be notified within 15 minutes of declaration of weights. The winner to be sold immediately after the race for 15 sovs, any, surplus to go to the funds of the Club; district horses only. £ mile. SECOND DAY. 1. County! Harvest Handicap, of 50 sovs; nomination, 1 sov; acceptance, 2 sovs; district horses only. miles. 5. Consolation Handicap, of 20 sovs; nomination, 1 sov ; to be made immediately after the Harvest Handicap is run; acceptance, free; to be notified to the Secretary within ten minutes of declaration of weights. 1 mile. RULES AND -REGULATIONS. 1. No entry will be received except on the condition that pll disputes, claims, and.objections arising out of the racing shall bo decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint; their decision on all points eonnectod with carrying out this programme to be final. 2. Canterbury Jockey Club Racing Rules strictly adhered to. 3. A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident in the Ashburton County from January Ist, 1884, and up to the date, of the fort hcom.ingmeeting and owned, by'a person,who has resided iri the said County during the samp period. 4. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross of all monies payable in accordance with this programme for expenses of the course. . .• 5. All nominations and acceptances go to the funds of the Club.
