[ebb PRESS AKSOniAH IS. ] Inquest. - Wellington, To-day
An .inquest was held this morning on the body of Mr Jacob Monteitb, chemist, who died suddenly on Sunday evening. ;Dr France stated that the deceased had consulted him, and -ho (Dr France) told him that his heart was affected. The deceased did not believe this, but treated himselffor chronic dyspepsia. Dr Tripe made a jßosf mortem examination, which showed that death was caused by syncope through failure of the heart’s action. The jury returned a-Verdict of death from natural causes.

The debtor in his statement said :—“ J.j»m alSo indebted; or may be liable to fori Nation® auras received by me .as trustee in several bankrupt estates.” One or two creditors present said it appeared that White kept ho trust account, and while he collected calls, in several estates he paid no debts.
