[PKR PKKBS ASSOCIATION.] Death of Father Moreau. Wanganui, To-day. The Rev Father Moreau. who haa been a priest of tho Catholic Church in New Zealand for many years, and was formerly in charge of the present dioceso of Dunedin, died here this mcrning, aged 71. He had been up the river for a few months instituting a new church amongst the Maoris at Jerusalem, and being ill came down to town, where, after a month in bed, he succumbed. The Unemployed. Chbistchubch, To-day. The unemployed held a meeting this morning, and it was resolved to adhere to their refusal and to accept 4s 6d per day. Mayoral Installations., ■ The following gentlemen were installed Mayors to-day :—O. P. Hulbert (Christchurch), W. White, M.H.R. (Sydenham), J. L. Wilson (St Albans).
