Saturday Return Tickets from any station to any station within the provincial district of Canterbury, will bo issued on 16th and 17th December, and (with exception of tickets to Christchurch, which are good for a fortnight on account of-the Industrial Exhibition), will be available for return up to and including !9th. The express train from Christchurch will stop at Washdyke, if required, to allow passengers to transfer there into a special train from Timaru to the racecourse platform. FARES: Washdyke to the racecourse platform and back, including admission to the course, first-class, 2s; second class (or seated wagons), Is Bs. Tickets available on day of issue only. A special train will leave the racecourse platform at 4.40 p. m., out of which passengers can change at Washdyke into the ordinary 4.35 p.m. train from Timaru to Ashburton. The evening train from Christchurch to Ashburton will run 35 minutes later than usual. The morning train from Methven to Rakaia will run as on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and the evening train from Rakaia to Methven, 20 minutes later than usual. Goods traffic will be suspended. FREDK.
