RULES. 1. A district horse shall mean any horse that jhas been commonly resident in the Counties of Ashburton or Geraldine, from September 27, 1883, and up to the date of the forthcoming meeting, and owned by a person who has resided in one or both of the said Counties.during thp same period. *' 2. General rules of Ashburton Racing Club and Canterbury Jockey Club racing rules strictly adhered to, and new scale of weight for sge adopted. 3. iTive per cent, will be deducted from the gross of all moneys payable in accord-’ ance with programme, for expenses of the course. 4.. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the stewards, or whom they may appoint, their decision on all connected with the carrying out of this programme to be final, and entries will only be received subject to these conditions. 5. All nominations and acceptances go to the fund.
