A meeting of men recently discharged from the temporary employment provided by the Government was held this morning. Over 100 were present. A deputation subsequently waited on the Mayor requesting him to communicate with the Government with a view to getting employment for them, calling attention at the same time to the fact that work had again been found for the unemployed in Otago at 6s per day. The Mayor promised to do all he could for the men. The Bible in Schools. Dunedin, To-day.
