A district horse shall mean any horse that ; has been commonly resident in the Counlies of Ashburton or Geraldine from September 27, 1883, and up to the date of the forthcoming meeting, and owned by a person who has resided in one or both of the said Counties during the same period. 2. General rules of Ashburton Racing Club and Canterbury Jockey Clilb racing rules strictly adhered to, and new scale of weight for age adopted. 3. Five per cent, will be deduclei from the gross of all moneys payable in accordance with programme, for expenses of the coarse. 4. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall ba decided by the stewards, or whom tlw may appoint, their decision on uii connected with the carrying out of this programme to be final, and entries will only be received subject to these conditions. b. Ail nominations and acceptances go to the fund. Weights will be published on the morning of Saturday, Dec. 15, and acceptances for the races to ba paid to the Secretary as above not later than 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22.
