Oassivelanus is a bright bay, with black points, standing over 16 bands, and showing immense power and great quality. As a two-year-old he won two races at .Newmarket, beating large fields. Oaractacua is now the most fashionable as well as the most desirable representation of the Venison blood Kings.on waa in every respect bred to stay. Hia sire, Venison, proved himself a horse of undeniable stoutness, and it ia worthy of remark that during his career as a three-year-old he travelled on foot his circuit, which the more modern wonders (Fisherman aad Rataplan) accomplished by rail. It is stated upon reliable authority that Veniaon walked upwards of 900 miles, ran fourteen; and won twelve times in his three-year-old racing season. . . . Oaractacua is in every way most worthy the notice of breeders who fancy the Venison and Defence blood (and who could object to the litter especially '!) more particularly as he—as well aa bearing a marked resemblance to his handsome son in other respects—has a good temper. . . . He is one of the large stamp, but, like his sire, a nice-sized, level made horse, with plenty of quality and racing points, and most likely to got racehorses.”— Copperthwaite’s Hires of the Present Day.
