[reuter’s telegrams—copyright.] A Fenian Plot. London, Nov. 28. A plot to blow up the Manor House in Mayo, Ireland, has been discovered by the Irish Constabulary. A large number of persons is believed to be implicated in the conspiracy, and thirty t suspected persons were to-day arrested on charges of being concerned in the projected outrage. Monetary and Commercial. Consols have advanced to New Zealand securities remain at last ' quotations. Adelaide wheat, ex store, remains at 46s 6d; and New Zealand ditto at 38s 6d to 44s 6d. Australian tallow—Best beef, 38s 6d; best mutton, 39S 5 d - The Wool Sales. At the wool sale to-day 7,800 bales were catalogued. The tone of the auction showed a hardening tendency. Great Fire. Paris, Nov. 28. A disastrous fire occurred at Roubaix, in the North of this country. Two large factories were totally destroyed during the conflagration. The Tonqnin War. In view of the possible failure of the negotiations which are now proceeding to bring about an amicable settlement of the Tonquin difficulty, active preparations are being made for the immediate despatch of reinforcements to the French Army in Anam. A force of 6,000 troops is now held in readiness to start in case it should be deemed necessary to send them.
