Mr Myles McPadden was elected County Chairman. * Post Sessional. Mr Munro, M. H. JR. , addressed his constituents and received a vote of confidence. Choral Festival. Christchurch, To-day. The first annual festival of the Christchurch Diocesan Choral Association took place to-day. Choral services were held in the morning and afternoon, the choir numbering 325 voices. The sermon was preached by the Rev. W. Jervois, son of the Governor. There was a large attendance at both set vices. The commemoration dinner will take place at St. John’s schoolroom, and addresses will be delivered by the Bight Bev. the Primate and others. ’
Timaru High School Board. Timauu, To-day. The election to fill the two vacancies in the High School B ard yesterday resulted as follows: —Archdeacon Harper, 180 ; Dr Lovegrove, 145 ; T. 0. Plante,'lol. There was immense excitement, and the friends of each candidate worked hard.
