BICYCLE RECORDS.
To the Editor. Sir, —In your last night’s issue of the Guardian I notice you mention that the best English record for one hundred miles on bicycles to be 6hr 15min. I wish to point out you are in error, and draw your attention to the performance of Mr F. B. Fry, amateur, of the Clifton Bicycle Club, at the Crystal Palace, London, on July 27ih last, when he completed the distance of one hundred miles on a bicycle in shr 50min 5 2 sth sec, nearly twentyfive minutes less than your bist English record. Note again the performance of Waller, professional, at Waver ey Market, Edinburgh, nine laps to a mile. His time stood at shr olinin. Should you
desire, I can supply you with the times for each mile from one mile to one hundred in either of these performances.—l
am, etc., Cyril Jbfhson. Tinwald, Nov. 29, 1883.
