Ashburton Guardian Office, Thursday afternoon. The New Zealand Loin and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited (per Mr E. G. Stavdey, auctioneer), report on the Ashburton market under date 13th November -Sheep : The entry in this department was light and business dull throughout the day, with an unusqaHy. krpall attendance. In fact very little brthe stock yarded was disposed of under the hammer. The following prices were obtained: —Shorn crossbreds, mixed sexes, 12s ; merino wethers, shorn, 7s 2d ; crossbred hoggets, m the wool, ns iod.—Cattle; Again scarcely any business was effected, and although very few cattle were penned a large f portion of them was returned unsold. Fat cows and heifers brought L 5 and L 6; bullocks, L 7 5 dry heifers made L 3 19s and L 4 2s ; springing heifers, I 4 17s 6d; yearlings, 31s.
