A man named Edward Smith, said to be::a brother to Mrs John Williamson, whose husband was formerly Superintendentot Auckland, was brought in by the train from Hawera to the hospital. He was taken there in a cab, and whilst the usual: formal questions were being asked him: preparatory to his being put into a ward,.his head fell forward and he expired. When arriving at the hospital he showed no signs that his death would be so sudden;

The Wairarapa Agricultural and Pastoral show is being held here to-day. Heavy rain fell early in the morning, but the weather has now cleared up.
