Ashburton Guardian. Office, Tuesday afternoon. Alfred Harrison reports his weekly sale as follows Saturday, Oct. 6 : A few light draughts and hacks were sold, prices unimportant. Cows sold fairly well from L4to L 8 ICS. Pigs are still selling well all pens being cleared at high prices, especially for small sizes. Dray and spring cart were sold, but implements generally very dull. Fowls, as to 3s 9d per pair; ducks, 5s per pair. Produce —Kidneys now are of little value ; B.D. potatoes, 40s to 60s per ton ; chick wheat, 2S per bushel; oats, is qd to 2s per bushel; carrots, 25s per ton; grass seed, 3s per • bushel; tea, 2lS”.gnaranteeci.
