ASHBURTON RIFLES.
Class Firing.
The annual class firing was commenced this morning by a squad under the command of Captain Douglas.- The target was 6ft x 4ft with bullseye Ift, and centre 3ft in diameter, five shots at each range. Subjoined are the scores, from which it will be seen that Private jas, Leitch was again first with a creditable score, considering the nor’-weaf wind blowing across the range:—
