Murray, Roberta and Co., dated London, Oct. 4th :—The sales have closed dull. 5,800 bales have been bought in and are held in first hands. The Otago Schools. Dunedin, To-day. The educational. Statistics for the quarter shows 160 schools in operation, with an average attendance of 16,423. The attendance is slowly increasing throughout the district, notwithstanding the falling off, of 500 in the, city schools o wing to illqess.
