Tim insurances are : Arden - (butcher), ,j>n fittings and furniture, LIOO in Unglass, on building, Ll6O, in office unknown; Todd, on furniture, L 75 in the National. The heat of the fire melted the telegraph wires, interrupting communication with the south for several hours. A Man-Of-War, H.M.S. Mr Redmond. Wellington, To-day.. It is stated that Mr J. E. Redmond, brother of Mr William Redmond the lecturer on Irish affairs, left Sydney for Auckland on Sunday last. He vilLiocture at the latter place. ... Another Fire. ' Napier, To-d%y*-The stables belonging to the Exohanjge Hotel, Havelock, were destroyed by fire yesterday afternoon. Above . the ’stables was a loft where was a quantity of hay, access to which was by a ladder.. Two of the proprietor’s children, aged fiyja and seven, were seen coming down the bidder, and immediately afterwards the placet on fire.
