Kyogle by William Tell out of Cassandra, dam of Yattendon. William Tell by Touchstone, imported from England. Owing to an accident when a two-year-old, Python was never trained or raced. A glance at the tabulated pedigree will be sufficient to show that Python is one of the grandest and stoutest thorough-bred horses at present in New. Pretender is by Prince Charlie (imported from Scotland by Mr W. Boag) out of Maggie by King Fergus (imported from Scotland by Mr David Innea). Maggie’s dam imported from Tasmania. Pretender gained second prize at the Northern Show as a two-year-old in 1876. He also took second prize in 1877. Terms—£9 for the season, guarantee £3, payable on the Ist January, 1884, and 5s groomage. Groomage fee payable on first service. Will be in Ashburton every Saturday.
