[PJBR PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Missing. Auckland, To-day. A man named MacGregor, of Northern vVairoa, aged eighty-seven, went oat to look for cattle on August 12th, and has not been heard of since. Sorghum Culture. Judge Gillies, who has been experimenting in sorghum culture, says in. a paper read at the Auskland- Institute;— “ These results astound me, and- prove sorghum as a sugar producing’ crop' to be valuable beyond my wildest expectations.” Art Gifts: Mr MacKelrie writes that he is sending a number of valuable pictures for the Auckland Art Gallery. One of these is by E. A. Armitage, 8.A., and Mr MacKelvie has been offered L3OO for it The Lost Vessel. Dunedin, To-day, News has been received here that the St Leonards from London to Wellington, sunk in the Channel by a collision. No particulars are to hand.
