A ’Mining Dispute. . Dunedin, To-day,
A lively meeting of the Lankey Creek shareholders was held last night, and it was ultimately decided to solicitors. The action of the Beef ton directors was severely commented on.
Mr Watt on Drunkenness. At the City Police Court to-day, Mr Watt, 8.M., decided that all decisions convicting and discharging drunkards were illegal. The minimum penally on was five shillings. A Heavy Failure. Auckland, To-day.
Mr J, W. Walter, shipowner, is endeavoring to make arrrngementa with his creditors. The liabilities are set down at and the assets at L 8,889.
