Fat merino, wethers' brought 9 S > IOS > * 2S > f 2s 6d; crossbreds, 14s 6d and 15s j merino eWes in lamb, 53 3d ; crossbred hoggettS, 9s. Cattle : A fair supply came, forward,- most descriptions being represented. Beef, however, was not to hand in any quantity, and all that was really fit sold readily. In fact, throughout the sale we observed a better tone on of buyers, though we cannot record any marked improvement in values. Fat cows andheifers realised L 6 7s 6d, L 6 12s 6d, L 7 159, and L 8 10s, averaging 26s per roolbs for prime ’ quality ; young cattle, mixed sexes, made 455; heifers in calf, L 3 2s 6d to 14 ; springers, L6.to L7' los each.
