Wanganui, To-day. • At the Police f our*; this morning, the K.M. presiding, William Henry Forder, ‘ of the Coach and Horses Hotel, was fined ’dflt'and costs for allowing billiards to be played on bis premises after licensed hoars (10 o’clock), the decision to be en- - domed on the license. John Henry Jensen, Ship Hotel, was also fined 40s and costs for selling liquor on Sunday, Contrary .to the Licensing Act, this conviction'also to be endorsed. Both publicans pleaded guilty. This is the second 'time of Forder’a license being endorsed. Otago Shipping. Dunedin, To-day. At the Chamber of Commerce the Chairman read statistics showing that last -..mouth 32 vessels of 6,349 tons were discharged at the Dunedin wharves, and 35 ’Of 6,394 tons loaded there.
