Alfred Harrison reports his weekly kale as follows ;—Saturday, September I ; The severe ’‘Weather very much interfered with business today, however, there was a fair attendance, and most entries yarded were sold. Cows were asked for, and the only one yarded sold at LSPigs sold fairly well, all lots penned being disposed of. Fowls, as to 3 s P er ? a * r ‘ plements—D.F. plough, L 5 etc., etc. B.D. potatoes, 50s to 60s per ton ; kidneys, 40s to 80s; chick wheat, 2s; carrots, 30s; oats, is od; tea, 21s guaranteed. A quantity of bottled ale at 3s per dozen. Furniture and sundries kept things lively.
