[pee press association.] Fire. Blenheim:, To-day. A flax mill owned by Mr Philip Verooe, was destroyed by fire last night. There is no clue to the origin. The mill was not insured, and the loss is estimated at Ll6O. The Catalonia. Christchurch, To-day. The shipment of frozen meat by the Catalonia comprises 14.346 carcases of 'mutton, and the average weight is 661bs. The cargo is supplied by 66 shippers. Adulterated with Water. Auckland, To-day. The police proceeded against the landlords of the Scotia and Globe Hotels for selling liquor adulterated with water. The evidence showed that the rum was half water. A number of technical objections were taken, and the Bench reserved its decision.
