Longbeach. The regular monthly meeting of this Boarfl took 'place at the office, Lagmhor road, on Friday , last, the members present being Messri John :Grigg (chairman), G. Gilmour, F. Lewis, and E. ■ It wa»-decided to call- for- tenders from persons willing to sell from J of an acre up. to 1 acre anywhere in Tancred and Alien’s block, for the purpose of a shingle reserve. The Board decided to have four or five pits in that locality. CORRESPONDENCE. Mi Wi Green wrote re public using his freehold in crossing the river at Greenstreet.— It was decided to get the approach made, and endeavor to keep the public on the road. Messrs Corbett and Hellings wrote re the fence and water around the Road Board cottages at Greenstreet. The matter was left to the >lork to deal with. From Mr Charles Remmington, asking permission to plough out gorse from the Board’s roads.—it was decided not to allow the roads to be ploughed, but that the gorse must be cleared.
