A WEALTHY GOLD MINE.
[by telegraph.] Thames, To-day. The New Prince Imperial, whdse .bottom level is 430ft' below the sea leyelj yesterday bagged dewt of good spieotmeilf from one breaking down of the reef in one of the slopes. A very rich show is being left in the roof of the stops. The' return for last month was 2,6000za gold .from 637 loads of quartz and 16 pwt specimens. The end Of this month’s yield will pro* bably exceed it. Auckland, To-day. The excellent return of 2,620dzs of gold from the Prince Imperial mine for the last month enabled the Directors to declare a dividend of 6s per share, to pay for the whole of the new machinery, amounting to about LI,OOO, and to carry forward a substantial balance. The Prince Imperial mine has paid L 23,400 in dividends during the past eight months—a total of 26s per share. Yesterday 9owt of specimens was obtained. As the specimens last month averaged more than loz to the lib of stone, the present haul may be regarded as the most satisfactory that has been received from the Thames goldfields for a long period.
