BULLOCK has been favored with instructions from the Ashburton Borough Council to offer by Public Auction, at the Aroade, Burnett street, on Saturday, August 18, The Lease of several Reserves in the Borough, as under, viz. 1. Part Reserve 774, containing about 17 perches, having a frontage on East street 62 - 65 links, and running back 176 links, adjoining the properties of Messrs Sealy and Patching ; lease to be for 21 years from Ist November, 1881. 2. Part Reserve 1642, containing about 16 perches, having a frontage on East street of 83 4 links, and on Cox street of 121 4 links. This lot will also be leased for 21 years from November 1, 1881. 3. Town Sections 1066 to 1075 and 1076 to 1085, less roadway on the eastern boundary This reserve will be let in two lots for 5 years from Ist September, 18834. TENDERS are invited for the purchase cf the above well-known Hotel, in which the Proprie:»r has carried on i usiness very successfully during the last eight or nine years, and the reason he is now disposing of it is that he is about devoting his attention to farming. The Terminus of the Mount Somers Railway, when the present contract is completed (about October next), will be within l£ miles of the Hotel. A Coach runs at the present time to meet all Trains, and the Proprietor having a contract to convey the mails, the interest in this will be given to the purchaser. There is a ten-stalled, stable, loose boxes, etc., near the Hotel ; also a paddock of fifteen acres, which may be tendered fer either with the Hotel or separately.
