Notice is hereby given that at the next ordinary meeting of the Ashburton County Council, to be held on WEDNESDAY, the 15th August, 1883, _ a resolution will be proposed, resolving that, by special order, certaiu By-Laws shall be ma m under the provisions of the Ashburton County Council Empowering Act, 1882. \ The objects of the prqoosed By-Laws are to protect the races anc%pther waterworks constructed or which nmjrhereafter', be constructed by the said CoumWlwithin. the County of Ashburton passes and injuries of all descriptions f .to empower the Council to make and levy charges or rates for the maintenance and repair of such waterworks; and generally to secure the proper maintenance and administration of the said waterworks. A copy of the proposed By-Laws is deat the office of the County Council, in the town of Ashburton, and may be inspected by the ratepayers of the County on any day, except Sunday, during office hours.
