New York, July 25. Intelligence is to hand from Niagara that Captain Webb, the well-known swimmer, was drowned there to-day. The accounts received state that he was swimming in the river below the falls when he was caught in a whirlpool and drowned before assistance could reach him. Deported Death of Cetewayo. Capetown, July 25 'Telegrams have been received here reporting that Cetewayo was killed in the battle recently fought at Ulundi with Usebepu.' The announcement, however, requires confirmation.
