[pee press association. ] Another Fire. Auckland, To-d»y. Kidd’s coach builder’s shed, Dovonport, was burned last night. The contents were insured in the National for LIOO. The shed was uninsured. Heavy Weather. A heavy north-east gale passed over the city last night, but no damage is reported in the town. In the harbor a timber barge dragged her anchor and was driven on the North Shore lower wharf, carrying it away. The barque Gazelle, lately seized by H. M. Customs in con-equence of the captain bringing a few pounds of tobacco ashore, was driven on a reef at Ponsonby. Found Drowned. Mrs Ansell, aged 74, was found drowned in a well in Ponsonby to-day. She was dressed in her night dress. Jewel Robbery. The shop ot Lewis, a jeweller near the Wharf, was last night robbed of goods to the value of L 76. A Fatal Fire. Dunedin, To-day. •Gilbert. Eocles, a ploughman at Wyndham Valley, fell from his dray, and received injuries which resulted in his death. Dunedin GasworksThe City Council have received two offers for the purchase of the gasworks. A Leaky Craft. The schooner Davern has put back, having. sprung a heavy leak.
