[per press association.] The Mail. Wellington, To-day. The Rotorua will leave the Maunkau by to-morrow morning’s tide. She will call at New Plymouth, and unless the weather interferes, will be here on Monday afternoon in time to forward the Southern mails by the Te Anan. The Rotorua does not call at Nelson. Fatality. Dunedin, To-day. Alexander Aitken, four and a half years, fell over a fence while playing. He sustained injuries from which he died yesterday. Fire. A store in Heriot row, occupied by one Pickett, was burned down last night. It was insured in the National office for Ll5O. Nothing was saved. The fire was caused by the overturning of a kerosene lamp. The house was owned by George Barnes. A Good Dividend.
The Equitable investment Company has declared a 10 per cent, dividend for the half year.
