LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. Friday, July 13. The Council met at 2.30. THE RABBIT NUISANCE. Replying to the Hon Mr Miller, the Hon Mr Whitaker said the Government were taking all possible means to cope with the rabbit pest both on Crown and on private lands. BILLS. The Prisons Bill, Crown Grants Bill, Sheriffs Bill, and Trustee Bill were read a third time. THE SCAB NUISANCE. The debate on the scab nuisance was resumed, and after some further discussion the amendment to appoint a Committee was negatived, and The Hon Mr Robinson then withdrew his motion. The Council adjourned at 3.45 p.m.
