The girl McLauohlin who was brought into town yesterday with a dreadful scalp wound is progressing favorably up to the present towards recovery. The whole of the akin and flesh from the eyebrows to the middle of the head was torn back, but has been replaced and sewn on again very skillfully by Dr Rosa. The French National Agricultural, Manufacturing, and Commercial Academy offers its annual prize for this year to the best essay upon the basis of a treaty of commerce between France and England.
