The Governor in Council has confirmed the decision of the Court of Inquiry into the recent stranding of the Hawea at New Plymouth. In forwarding to Mr Carew a copy of Messrs Smith, Anderson and Co.’s communication, appealing from the decision of the Court, the Secreta.y of the Marine Department says that “ the Crown Law officers are of opinion that the Court had full powejr in this case to suspend the master’s certificate. ” Don’t Die in the House.—“ Rough on Rats ” clears out rats, mice, beetles, roaches, bed-bugs, flies, ants, insects, moles, jackrabbits, gophers, Moses, Moss and Co., Sydney, General Agents. x
