The above “Er. •: ct” is one of the moat marvellous discoveries of the age. Its effects are iosian aneous. and never fail in chronic or actue c.vses. however severe. The great properties of ibis medic'oe consist in its never producing costive-, ness. no ira.-ter how free'y used, and its being perfectly barm'ess and purely herbal.. yei. curing Dial.'dK-JA, Dysentery: English Cholera, etc., with the greatest certainty. TESTIMON Y LS. Paugiora, July 7, 1881. Sir, —Having (’ca,ve'a ll y examined the N.Z. Herbal Extract, I 6ud it to be skilfully prepared vegetable preparation, possessing the properties of <he plants from which it is derived in a highly concentrated slate, a fact winch X have verified by evaporating a fluid drachm placed in a watch glass over a spirit lamp. On weighing the result, a dark green extract, I found the weight to be grains. On further submb iiog the extract to analyses I found it to be rich in tannin._ In a large number of cases of ordinary diarrhoea,, as well as in many chronic cases and in dyaenteiy, Ihaveproved.it to possess great specific control, added to toe unusual feature in a majority of diarrhoea medicines, that it does not subsequently constipate the bowels. I feel saJsSecl that from the number of tf'als I have been enabled to make of it in a somewhat extensive practice, it is a most valuable addition to modern therapeutics. The following cases are taken at random from my note book : Case No. I—Mrs M , West Eyre ton, Buffeting for two years from chronic dysentery, which bad reduced her almost to a skeleton. ALer a fortn’ghts .rial not only had the diavrbcea s opped, but she commenced eating meat without ji?’n, and the usual oonconiiiant vorjil-'jg. In two months she had gained JLSlhs we'g’n.,. Case No. 2—A G.,child, aged fiveyears. ■ Fortnight diarrhoea. Was effectually cured on third day. Case No. 3—A soldier who had cootracted’dyseateiy in Ir dia got a small two ounce yhial, and was well before he had finished ha’f of it. (Signed.) CffAiicEs DeLacv McCAETev, M.
