Brigade were promptly on the spot and extinguished the flames in a short time.-; The circumstances are very suspicious,, tar, and kerosene having been plentifully poured out on the floor and walls. The fire evidently was kindled in three places simultaneously. The house was only damaged and not destroyed, thanks to the promptitude of the Brigade. It was owned.by J.
